ABOUT US
"Zoom, zoom" a six year old boy said to himself as he imagined his folded coloring sheet as a gigantic jet zipping through the plants of his small, front yard in Mastic Point, Andros, Bahamas. A few years later and just a few blocks up the street, a little girl with more business zest than adults five times her age, built lemonade stands, sold candy outside her window and always pictured herself as a strong business woman.
Fast forward to 2001, Western Air Ltd. was established by a husband and wife team, Rex and Shandrice Rolle by fusing their knowledge, experience and passion about aviation and business. Mr. Rex Rolle serves as the President and CEO of Western Air and has a United States FAA and Bahamian certified Airline Transport Pilot license and type rating in the Metro III. Mr. Rolle is also a US FAA certified Flight Instructor, Certified Flight Instructor Instruments, and Certified Multi-Engine Instructor with more than 25 years of experience as a professional pilot.
His wife, Mrs. Shandrice Woodside-Rolle is the Vice-President and COO of the company. She is a graduate of Florida Metropolitan University where she finished top of her class and holds a Bachelors degree in International Business.
Currently, Western Air's fleet consists of 5 Saab 340A (33 seaters), 5 Fairchild Metro III Jet prop (19 seaters), 1 Fairchild Merlin 4C Jet prop (12 seats in executive configuration for corporate or executive charter flights) 1 Piper Chieftain (7 seats executive configuration). The Company has acquired 3 Raytheon Beech 1900-C Jet prop (19 seaters) which will be flying under the banner of Vision Air Ltd a subsidiary of Western Air.
